Baby Mermaid Outfit

This baby mermaid outfit is absolutely adorable and was so easy to make. This is another pattern of Nadia's and I used her video tutorial on you tube to make it. The link to her video is https://youtu.be/o0gVjc0TrFk I initially planned on making this for my great-great niece but she was too big for it by the time I got done with it. I think this outfit would be perfect for an infant and be awesome for photo shoot.

Mario and Luigi Blanket

This blanket was a creation of my own. My husband helped me work out how many squares I would need based on how big I wanted the blanket and how big I wanted the squares. The Mario and Luigi blankets consist of 266 squares each and they measure approximately 3ft x 4ft. Although they were initially being made as blankets, they are now being used as curtains in the two front windows of our house. We are gamers in our house too so it's a good fit. It's looks pretty cool...both from the inside and the outside when we have the blinds open. If you would like more information on how to make these, just leave a comment and I would be happy to help.

Beach Shorts

These are the first shorts I have tried to crochet. I was really unsure about making them because I have a tendency to crochet tight and unless I gauge it or change the hook size then they could turn out too small. These ended up being quite easy to make. I used a tutorial video on you tube from Colorsoflily, the link to her video is: https://youtu.be/52cGH1N6iNU
You will see that her video makes these shorts a easy project for anyone to do.

Hacky Sacks

A couple weeks ago me and my family were heading to a cabin to go camping for 4 days. I was trying to come up with some different activities to do while we were there and my husband suggested bean bags or hacky sacks. So the search began for a hacky sack pattern. I found a pattern at
http://www.makeandtakes.com/easy-crochet-hacky-sack which was created by Heidi and showcased on this page. I found it really easy to read and it worked up fast. So fast in fact, I made eight of them for our trip. We got a lot of enjoyment from these hacky sacks.

Mermaid Tail Afghan

This is the first mermaid tail afghan I've ever made. I got the pattern from yarnutopia.com. The link is provided below if you would like to try one your self. I have found that Nadia (the designer) of this pattern has a lot of great designs and I see myself doing a lot more of her patterns. I did make some modifications to the pattern because I was using a thinner yarn then the worsted weight yarn the pattern called for. I ending up adding some rows so it would be long enough and also made the fin wider and longer. Over all I am quite pleased with how it turned out. Next I will be making The Viking Hat that she designed.
